Solved: Remote My Cloud web access stopped...UPnP, port forwarding

Everything worked 100% when on local network, but remote access to My Cloud ended after a while, sometimes hours, with browser showing the security certificate accept message and then 2 more tabs opening, then nothing, refresh of page never lead to anything, also iOS App on iPhone consequently lost connectivity to My Cloud…
My Cloud Dashboard always showed “Port forwarding connection established” and Connection Status:
Connected in Cloud Access menu, but still remote access was lost after a while…
I set port forward on the router 9091 >80 and 9444 > 443 and this allowed remote access to Dashboard without any issues using my public IP address with https://163.xxx.x.xx:9444

So I had access remotely to the dashboard but still lost My Cloud remote web access after a while.
On my router and NAS, I’ve assigned the My Cloud the static IP address 192.168.1.56
Using Google DNS server, when I called WD support they said that is better than the default.

My issue had to do with UPnP activated on my Asus RT-AC68U router.

Once I turned off UPnP on the router, and then set in NAS Dashboard: General > Cloud Access “Cloud Access Connection Option” from Auto (using UPnP) to Manual (Using Port Forward), everything started working perfectly fine. Now My Cloud web access works great, all the time, from both iOS App and from browser (IE and Chrome).
