I’ve had my My Cloud device for a while, and WD Sync was working for a while, but it is no longer working. Now I cannot get WD Sync to recognize my device locally. If I sign in to my account, it finds the device, but I then get “unable to connect to remote server.”
Firmware on My Cloud is up to date, but if it does not sync my data, it is not really doing what I need it to do. I have specifically allowed WD App Manager access through Windows Firewall; I have tried stopping Avast Anti Virus.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled WD Sync. Upon reinstalling it does not find my device.
I can log into My Cloud through the web interface, and I can access it from the app on my phone and on my tablet, so I know the device is working. However, it is not syncing with my hard drive, which is it’s intended purpose.
Would appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to get WD Sync working again.
