WD Sync not working

help…!
I’ve downloaded the WD Sync, but it wont connect to the devise.
error message ‘The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send’.
Any ideas what i’m doing wrong?

thanks but the link shows exactly what i’m doing, any other ideas?
I’ve tried changing port forwarding settings but thats not worked either.
I can see the My Cloud Gen2 on my network and have it up and running on another windows pc, but i’m trying to set up remote access on my laptop.
What am i doing wrong?

If the My Cloud is showing up on your computer, I have no idea why you’re not seeing in through WD Sync. You could try to power cycle the drive, or reset the system.

Have you turned on remote access in the dashboard? If so, you should be able to set up your device in mycloud.com and get access that way.

yep done all that and reset to factory settings.
I’ve downloaded the WD My cloud app to the desktop and that doesnt work either, just a white screen. So at the moment i have bought a Cloud that can only be accessed from within my house, not very much like a cloud :frowning:
Is there any free phone number that i can actually speak to someone to help me out?
