Can you open a command prompt and type
ping device4875584-5b01abf4.wd2go.com
tracert device4875584-5b01abf4.wd2go.com
take a screenshot of both results and post the images?
I think I know what it’ll show , but might help diagnose it.
What happens when you go to wd2go.com in a web browser and sign in?
Have you accessed the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings and ensured Cloud Access/Remote Access is enabled? Have you tried cycling the Cloud Access/Remote Access option to OFF, wait a few minutes, then turn it back ON?
If you continue to have problems accessing the My Cloud remotely then you may have to configure the remote connection ports manually and enable port forwarding within your router.
Ok, that shows that the unit doesn’t have its connection to the server toggled on, or the ports used are being blocked
Both admin and one user acct had the same email address. After making sure
emails were unique, was able to resolve problem. I think I had a
connection as the admin and was then unable to create another connection as
a user, through WD Synch.
Thanks for the help.
