WD Sync error

When I try to setup WD SYNC I get an error: “the remote name could not be resolved”
Otherwise the device is up and I can access it from MYCLOUD via a browser and also via network shares on my home
network.

How is your network configured? Is the WD My Cloud app able to locate your unit even though WD Sync is unable to complete the setup?

I can access the drive from any network PC via “Map Network Drive” and also via the app. only SYNC fails to connect to it.
