WD Sentinel Bad Storage

I am having a small problem with my WD Sentinel.It keeps rejecting the drives as bad storage. I have tried the old firmware 01-05-14-18 and the newer 1-7-6-21, the drives I am using are WD2000F9MZ-76NVPL0 and WD2009FYPX-09AAMB0, both types which are listed as used by the device. I have tried combinations of both, all of the same and alternative types in alternative bays. I have tried just two drives, then three, then four, all no go with bad storage.

I have tested the drives, and they are all ok. I used Acronis to wipe the drives and test the drive before retrying the install

I was busy reloading the system, when we got to the part were the drivers were loading and my kiddy removed the usb stick from the unit and the install failed.

This has been a good unit, so really keen to get it back up and running again.

do a diskpart> clean from a pc then do recreate storage, you have to make a new thumb drive
look at the log file on the thumb. if it looks happy do recover. Either firmware as long as it has been verified by the hash file
keep it simple and use two drives

Did the recreate storage, can up with invalid config

As you can see it only sees one drive SN ending in 84
You must have at least 2 drives
FWIW WD does not like for you to post SN’s…I dunno, guess they think someone might try to use them for a warranty

Ok will redact next time. the two drives are on WD DLG at present getting a full erase. this is taking 5 hours each drive, then I will try again tomorrow. for the last time. Dont want to erase to many times might damage drives. thereafter it is binned. Been at this for a week now, since monday last week

diskpart > clean is all you need to do to erase any raid config and “reset” the drive

What is the name of this file so I can search and see if I might have one or you might search the forum to find a good one. Not sure about passthrough at the end.

So are you using the two right hand slots? Did you have a bad slot? As in if you use the 2 on the left same results or does it just see one drive?

yea, look way down in this one. raidcfg64.exe No clue could you have a bad download? You have to dig in the forums here there are some hash file listed. The process configures the raid but yours are passthrough ???

Both blue lights are coming on, where drives are put in, and there is some activity showing on the lights. I will redownload the file s again. The two txt files marked LDO1 and LDO two have the following inside. LDO 0: Storage Bad, LDO 1: Blank.
