I can see the move to paid cloud service, but when I backup home PC’s it would take excessive time to do so. Good to know there are other companies that still offer personal cloud products. thanks

WD discontinued its My Cloud Home and similar personal cloud drives. They now focus on SanDisk ibi for personal storage and WD My Passport or NAS solutions for alternatives. You may still find My Cloud drives from third-party sellers, but official support is shifting toward other products.

This is exactly nonsense. This subject has covered many times and Sandisk ibi has already seen End of Life as of September 2024. The My Cloud Home will see End of Life service by end of 2027 and will be supported until then.

Mobile and cloud access for ibi which uses the same firmware as the My Cloud Home is ending, will the same fate await the MC Home?
