I hadn’t tried this feature before but wanted to try the anti-virus software.
I get the list of apps and tick the box of the one I want. When I click ‘install’ all I get is a window with the word ‘Initiating’, and an empty bar at ‘0%’ - It just sits there. There is no obvious activity from the ‘mycloud’ box, nothing happens no matter how long I wait.
If I try a ‘manual’ install, I’m presented with my list of folders and an ‘open’ tick box. If I select any of the folders and click ‘open’ there is a pause of a few seconds and then an error message(simply the word ‘error’ I think) appears.
I recently had to reset the ip address (having swiched off the router) could this be the source of the problem? Otherwise, is there some step in the process that I have missed?
Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

Regards,
I went to contact WD Support and found a reference to the fact that this was a known problem and that it was being investigated. A proposed solution was given and I followed the instructions. However, this didn’t work. Unfortunately, I feel that any further effort on my part to highlight the problem will be a waste of time. I’ll just have to wait until that matter is resolved by the WD Engineers.
You can try this download link

I should have reported back sooner, sory. The problem was resolved. The fix that I had applied following the suggestion of WD engineers worked after a shutdown and restart.
