Suddenly can't connect to my cloud

I’ve got a 3tb my cloud that I’ve been using for a couple of years with no issue, until now.

This morning I connected via a file manager on my phone and moved a couple of files around (I connected via SMB) but before I could move the last one the connection has dropped. I now can’t connect with any of my wireless devices. The mapped drive on my PC won’t connect and I can’t access the UI via a web browser either (my PC is upstairs connected via wifi).

I’ve checked my router config and the IP address is the same as it was. The blue light is constantly on on the my cloud and I can ping it via my PC. I have pulled the plug and waited a minute before plugging it back in (my PC is upstairs and my router is down, can I plug the my cloud into my computer to access the UI without the router?). I haven’t updated the firmware in a while, but I have a script running on the my cloud to update my DDNS and a mySQL server so I’d rather not have to set these up again if I flash a new firmware or something.

What should I be looking at here?

Was your My Cloud connected with a static IP address?

Have you tried, files.mycloud.com ?

Thank you for your reply.

It started working again yesterday. I’ve got no idea why it wouldn’t work for a short time, but I hope it doesn’t happen again soon.

It has a static IP but I did check to make sure the IP hadn’t changed when I was having issues. It all seems fine again so fingers crossed it’ll stay this way.

Again, thank you.
Have a nice day.
