Can't access MyCloud device

Hello,
I’ve had the MyCloud(Single bay) for almost a year now where it has worked relatiively pain free. However for some reason I cannot connect the myCloud any more. Both my WD Sync and Mobile App have stopped working as they cannot connect. They say the MyCloud is “missing” or “Drive offline (971)”. As I can’t access the dashboard at all (I have tried both the IP or mycloud name on a web browser) I’m not able to shut down the device properly. The myCloud has the solid blue light. Here are all the actions I have done:

  1. Checked ethernet and power cable. both are fine (even used different cables to confirm)
  2. 4 second reset
  3. Pulled the mains power plug and reconnected, where it then flashes blue light for a while and then becomes solid blue again
  4. 40 second reset (I think). Because I have to pull the main plug in order to shut down, the blue light is already flashing the second it gets power again, so i’m not entirely sure if it has done 40 second reset.
  5. Using both "WD Access’ and “Windows set up” I’ve Scanned for device in network, using login details, etc but still it cannot find/connect to the device

Not really sure what do now. Any advice would be much appreciated. It has been working fine for months.

Did you have a static IP address on it? All the shutdown and resets may have changed it. Since you have Windows try this, see image below, if it shows up under Network>Storage, do a right click on it and click on View device webpage.

Does WDQuickview show the drive at all ?
