Hello guys nice being here. This is my first time writing so I am sorry if i miss some rules maybe…
Well, I am faceing some problems using my WD TV so I came up here to ask if someone can help me.
1st) My WD TV does not show meta tags. I am pointing to a folder with 3 files etc.
• movie.mov
• movie.jpg
• movie.xml
where xml is the metatag file. But when I navigate to the folder from my wd tv I get empty tags!!
2nd) I cant figure how to play srt subtitle files. I put the srt file in the same folder with the movie file with the same name. I tried all unicode,utf,ansi etc but my player dont seem to find the subs. I have already enabled the setting for auto enabling the subs if present but still nothing.

Sounds like you are playing from media server which only handles embedded SRTs. If you play from USB or network shares
movie.mkv
movie.srt
usually works if the file is ANSI and not corrupted.

I am playing the file from my 3TB Cloud WD external hard disk. Does it support media playing? If not, what can I do?
Media playing and media servers are different things but since you are playing from a MyCloud it’s a NAS rather than a HDD attached via USB, right? So, connect via network shares and it’ll work.

Well I have both the WD TV and HDD connected through a local network!
My HDD is connected via network to my modem-router while my WD TV is connected via wi-fi.
So I still cannot figure out what the problem is!
I’ve told you twice what the problem seems to be, what more can I say?
