So 1.0.1.24 borked my wdtv live

Everything has been working 100% for weeks and weeks, months maybe.

I upload 1.0.1.24, and now i cant watch a movie for more than 5 minutes without it losing connection.

Nothing on my network has changed.

I restarted the modem, router, switch.  I downgraded to 1.0.1.11 and upgraded back to 1.0.1.24.

Can anyone offer some advice?

I did’nt update so far. Where did you find 1.0.1.11?

How you update, via (W)LAN or USB (Stick)? Maybe change method.

Could you be more specific ?  Why did you DOWNGRADE firmware and UPGRAD back to .24 ???

There is no such a thing as a firmware damaging your hardware.

Here’s what you should try - Reset the unit to factory defaults through the interface and reconfigure. or reset using the reset hole.

The 24 firmware is a minor update revision and should not be affecting your network.  Reset and reconfigure/auto detect your network and device settings.

All the firmware versions can be found here. You have to register to download them.
