Please help, I am struggling to set up My Cloud Ex2

Hello, I am new here and I am not at all computer literate. I hope the group can help me… I have a My Cloud Ex2 with all the data from my now closed consultancy business on. I am trying to access some stored files and have plugged the device in to my laptop and router. I have accessed in an attempt to set it up, however the website cannot see the device…The LEDs are all solid Blue, and I think my network can see that something is connected, but it cannot establish communication…Can anyone assist, I am sure it is something simple, but I just don’t have the expertise to diagnose the issue…Thank you in advance
