I have a WDMYCLOUD NAS (Firmware Version: 5.28.105). I have setup two Shares for Public access. It is connected to a Private Network at home. Network discovery is on and password protected sharing is on. I can connect to public shares on the NAS from two computers that run Windows 10. When I try to connect with the third computer (also Win 10 with identical settings) I get the following message:
Enter network credentials
Enter your credentials to connect to: WDMYCLOUD
admin
Password
When I enter the admin password I get the following message
\WDMYCLOUD is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
ADDENDUM: on the same computer I can access the Public Share by using GoodSync. I still cannot access it using File Explorer>Network>Computer>WDMYCLOUD (when I click on the icon its asking for network credentials)
It’s a new computer so this is the first time we are trying to connect it. It connects fine to the dashboard. Is it possible that the admin password I use to open the dashboard on internet explorer is different from the admin password requested when I try to connect with a share on this new computer?
