New MyCloud Device - Trouble creating MyCloud account

I installed a new device today and have spent 4 hours already trying to create mycloud account. The cloud drive is connected but it does not register my email address. I called their call centre in US and the guy tried to help me configure it but it would take too much time to update. Then he helped to reset system. After resetting, the same issue prevails and after 20 minutes of “Creating MyCloud account” it says error occurred. Any suggestions will help me sleep tonight.

There was a thread from WD staff member @SBrown about some problem that WD were having, very poorly reported what the problem was, but it was to do with remote access. It claimed to be fxed today, but now the thread has vanished.

I’d try again tomorrow, in case your problem is related. There are a number of similar threads at the moment.
