Hi all. I have a problem since reinstalling windows. I can’t access my files/folders on the Mycloud EX2 Ultra through windows explorer. I CAN access the files if I log into the cloud in the browser, and I can also access files through the MyCloud app on my Samsung S24 Ultra. I can also access the cloud control panel in the browser via a local IP address. I’ve tried rebooting both the laptop and cloud but no change.
I have some screenshots that I’ll attach here. Any help is much appreciated.
Here is the cloud in my network page.
Hello,
Enable SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support:
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off.
Check the box for SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support and click OK.
Restart your computer.
Check Network Discovery and File Sharing Settings:
Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings.
Ensure that Network discovery and File and printer sharing are turned on.
Map the Network Drive:
Open File Explorer. securespend visa
Right-click on This PC and select Map network drive.
Choose a drive letter and enter the path to your MyCloud EX2 Ultra (e.g., \192.168.1.xxx).
Add Windows Credentials:
Go to Control Panel > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials.
Add a new Windows credential with the IP address of your MyCloud EX2 Ultra, your username, and password.
Check SMB Settings:
Ensure that SMB 2.0 and 3.0 are enabled on your MyCloud EX2 Ultra. Sometimes, disabling SMB 1.0 can help if SMB 2.0 and 3.0 are properly configured.
Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily:
Sometimes, antivirus or firewall settings can block access. Try disabling them temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
Best Regards
