On the WD My Cloud web manager for my user name I have two devices:
Mac OS 10.9.5
Windows 7
Those are not devices but OS’s for my mulitple Laptops, some PC, some Mac.
Can someone help me understand what these WD Cloud Devices are and why I do not need one for each of my PC’s for remote access.
I can not seem to find anywhere an explanation.
Thanks

A ‘MyCloud Device’ is simply a thing that is registered as being allowed to remotely access your MyCloud.
I am surprised that you don’t need to register each device. Have you tried remotely accessing the MyCloud from all of the PCs?

So why are OS’s showing up as Devices. I find this whole area of remote access confusing. If I have 2 Mac Laptops, and 2 Dell Laptops that I travel with should each one be listed under devices.
Not sure what is going on.

You are not alone…
Both the old (pre-OS3) manual and the new OS3 manual say that each device needs an activation code.
