My Cloud device stopped responding - front LED yellow

Hi there

my device stopped responding today. Front LED is showing a solid yellowish color. Back panel, network LEDs, Link is off, Activity green blinking.

Did restart the deceive more than once, including 4s and 40s reset. Did change network cable and tried different ports.
Switch does see a connection, router does not assign an IP address.

At startup, disk sounds ok (normal spin sound, not the typical head crash swirl).

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Juergen, the reason why the My Cloud is displaying a solid yellow light on the front LED is because the unit does not have an IP address assigned. Connect the device directly to the computer to see if it works. If it works, the issue is with the router.

Hi. Tried that on two different computers. Same issue. So, what else could it be?

Is it a gen1 or gen2. Because gen2 displays a red light when the network cable is removed.
