My Cloud device not found at first install

Hi Guys,

any chance of some help for a newbe to NAZ drives.

I Just bought a WD My Cloud, straight out of the box, powered up and connected via cable to my router
Windows Explorer, Network folder, can see the device
But I cannot connect to the device:
My Cloud OS3 End of Service | Western Digital gives “My cloud device not found”
192.168.1.14 gives “This site cannot be reached”
http://wdmycloud/ gives “This site cannot be reached”

After reading some stuff on here and on the WD site I have performed a 40second reset. this led to a blue flashing LED for 8 days. after 8 days I have powered down the device and repowered it the LED is still blue and flashing and I still have the problems detailed above

I am using a plusnet router supplied with my internet service provider, google chrome, and windows 10 Home
I have not changed any settings in the router at this stage (I wouldnt know what to change?)

thanks for reading, any help greatly apreciated
Nick

Have you tried a different connection on the router? Have you looked at information on the router? Is this the router you have, http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/plusnet-fibre-router ?

I thought in a previous post you said that it was working?

HAY ITS WORKING!!!

following some advice from another thread on this forum, I pulled the power cable out, then the network cable out, then waited 20seconds, then replaced the power cable, waited another 20seconds, then replaced the network cable.
for around minute I only had a green light on the network port, then the orange light came on and at the same time the front panel blue light stopped flashing and became solid blue.
Following on from this I have been able to access the device and am now in the process of setting it up for the first time. WooHoo!!

I guess I might be back on this forum in the next few days with further questions. but at least I am off first base now
