Help - cant get my new EX2 Ultra to work

I have just purchased a new My Cloud EX2 Ultra (without drives) and two WD Red hard drives.

Once installed and switched on, the display on the front of my EX2 is showing solid red lights for both drives.

What am I doing wrong ?
