I just setup my new WD Mycloud Mirror EX2 device at home and several devices have been connected without any problem. At this stage, I would like to use my company’s desktop to connect to my home’s device. I generated an activation code last night. This morning, I came to my office and installed WD My Cloud app for my desktop. I tried to connect to my home’s device via both WDMycloud.com account and activation code, but both failed. Could anyone help with this.

Thanks for your kind help. But I would have thought the WD application is designed to work that way. So does that mean, WD my cloud app for desktop is not working via internet or is there any other way to make this app work?

Have you tried using another network other than your work network? I had the same problem connecting to my WD NAS from my work network, but I can connect to it at my friends’ house. I think my company setup their network to block certain remote connections. I now just use my 4g network on my cell to connect.
