Cannot install any App and NO LOGS

I can’t install any app, tried through the Apps, Install Plex, just stays on Initializing… 0%. forever, tried installing manually and never installs just goes back to App page after uploading file, and when I go to the Logs, there are None, what is going on?

If it still fails, delete any plex related dir in /shares/Volume_1/Nas_Prog (use SSH)

Thanks, I tried that, now I get an error, “Failed to Install App” and when I try manually it just does nothing.

And if I try to install manually the bin file for Plex, it uploads and does nothing.

Think I will just return this, clearly the software is not fit for purpose.

I have same problem. Is any solution?

Enable SSH and use putty or so to login.
Type this

del_apkg plexmediaserver
rm /shares/Volume_1/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex\ Media\ Server/plexmediaserver.pid

Now install plex via the WD web interface.

If it says “Failed to install app” it probably means you didn’t select the proper model.
The package is slightly different for PR4100 vs PR2100 and you can’t install packages for another model.

Has there been a fix for this? It was working fine prior to latest firmware update.
When you click install app manually “Accept Use Policy” pops up and does nothing after that.
