I was using my MyCloud Ex2 Ultra normally when I tried to access a folder with permissions, where the user I was trying to authenticate has read / write permission on that folder. However, the following message is displayed: "\ COMPUTER \ Folder is not accessible. You may not have permission to use this network resource.Contact the administrator of this server to see if you have access permissions.
Multiple connections to a server, or resource shared by the same user, are not allowed using more than one username. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. "
If you have mapped the share on your windows computer, then reboot your My Cloud device and see if the issue is fixed. If not then try to disconnect the share from the network and set it up once again.
Refer to the below link how can you map your shares:
I followed the following steps and everything returned to normal:
Open the Services window (Start → Run → services.msc). You will need to type in ‘services.msc’ in search box or open it via Control Panel.
Locate the Workstation service (this is a fundamental service that Windows uses to access network rescources) and once you found it (it should be at the bottom of the list obviously) stop this service. You’ll probably get a notification how other services are dependent upon it (ie Netlogon and Computer browser), so you’ll have to stop showing services as well.
Restart Workstation service and after this any other services that were listed as being dependent on the step above.
I have similar problem accesing the private shares/folders from windows explorer. I can acces my MyCloud Ex2 Ultra normally via IE browser. When I tried to access a private folder the window popup for userId, password,I enetered the same which worked via browser, I was trying to authenticate has read / write permission on that folder.
restarted the "workstation , browser services on my pc, but still no access to the folder.
Thanks for your help.
