Accessing file and folders via app

Hello, I dragged and dropped files into my device (MY CLOUD HOME) from my backup hard disk.
I want to access to them via App My Cloud Home (or other) or web browser. How I can do it?
With the application My Cloud on my old device I did it.

Thank you.

Rob.

Are you using a Mac or a PC?

Did you « drop » them in your private space or within the Public share? You can only access the private share from the app or website.

I’m using a PC.

I dropped the file in the Public Share folder. I can’t drop nothing outside that folder

You have to log in into WD discovery first. And have created an account.

Hello, sorry for the long time away.
I installed My Cloud Home and created the account. I can see the file shared but I made a copy of it and created the link for sharing.
Is it possible to access the file via internet even if they are in the public folder?
Thanks

Not with My Cloud Home

Ok, thank you

What?! There’s no remote access to files on My Cloud Home?

Not those in the public share.
Those in private space are accessible via WD Discovery.

And are the files in the private spaces accessible in Windows Explorer?

via WD Discovery.

The word “private” isn’t in the user manual. What is private space? How do I make it? Is it just the app the we download and sync files into?
