Windows 10 unable to find My passport Ultra

After upgrading to WIndows 10, my Passport is unable to find the device, power light is active and device is running from USB.

Hello,

The drive is compatible with Windows 10. Have you tried on another computer? Also i recommend you try replacing the USM cable.

Yes it works on another computer with the same cable, This drive is for my wife, I also have another WD drive for may laptop, and this will not also work on the computer.

Both devices appear under connected devices, but nothing appears under explorer

I have the exact same issue with Windows 10. I hope you don’t mind me jumping on this to add more detail.

I have tried a USB3 cable from a Seagate Drive and it doesn’t work either (even though the Seagate drive using that cable appears fine)
The Passport Ultra shows up fine on a Mac with the same cable, and the original cable.
I can see the drive in Disk Drives, but cannot assign it a drive letter.

However, it does not appear in File Explorer.

When the drive is plugged in the Windows sound chimes, the device initiator program starts and completes, but there is still nothing in explorer.

I see that this issue is a common thread elsewhere on this forum. It would be great if someone from WD could grasp this issue and help all of us who have this issue out.

Thanks a lot,
Rupert
