WDTV live V3 & personnal edition V4 marketing

I don’t understand, with the last firmware 2.02.32, the old WDTV live V3 have same feature, same hardware, more powerful and low cost than the personnal edition V4 without Netflix?

Last may WD make big annoucements for nothing or just marketing ?

It’s a shame marketing or the two revision have real diffence ? Any news from WD ?

Yup. I bought mine, just to be semi future proof (grid interface, updates, apps on usb, ect). But now WD added all those features to the WD TV SMP in the latest update. What we are left with is the exact hardware and got screwed out of Netflix.

Netflix app needs to updated any way, but I suspect it won’t be and will likely stop functioning at some point.
