WD Wireless Pro - SD Card/WPS Button?

Page 3 of the manual has a picture of the WDWP and indicates the #4 button as:
“4 Battery Status, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), and SD Card backup”

Page 6 of the manual says in part:
“Battery / WPS Button - With an SD card inserted in the slot, press momentarily to start SD card transfer.”

I cannot get this behavior with my drive. If I set “Media > SD Card > Automatic Import” to “On” then it just starts importing, if I turn it off, then it doesn’t import anything whether I push the button or not.
I am looking for this option to be available, I want to be able to choose when the transfer starts.

I think I figured something out: this is not a button problem: The drive doesn’t recognize plain “SD” cards. It works with SDHC and SDXC but my straight SD cards are all ignored.
If I try my above issue with an HC or XC then the button works as expected, so now I have a Bug Report:

Drive fails to recognize straight SD cards, which is an issue for me since I use the old 2GB cards in my Zoom recorder, and it would be nice to be able to dump the cards during concert or performance recordings.

I have the same problem but with any cards, also SDHC. I have to enter the SD Card settings and select ‘Import’. I haven’t tried automatic yet but from your comments I assume it will work. The button doesn’t seem to do anything, with a short or long press, it just activates the battery level indication

The card does seem to be mounted as I can look at it’s contents using the My Cloud app.

I only got the Pro yesterday so I’m still learning

Done some tests and I may be having the My Cloud problems raised here.

After using the Web interface the button worked
