WD Unlocker problem

I want to use a MyPassport (2 TB) to copy files between PCs. When I plug it into my desktop, ThisPC shows it as a CD drive, K:, WDUnlocker. Clicking that opens it as MyPassport (M:), without it asking for my password.
But with my laptop, it asks for a password–and I lost that when I moved here.
Is there any way I can (a) find my password to use on the laptop, (b) reset the password , or (c) make the drive run unlocked all the time (my preferred option). I don’t mind if that erases the contents of the drive, because i can copy them to my desktop first.

Hi @Ivan_Berger,

Please refer to the article WD Security “Invalid Password Message” or Password Forgotten:

The instructions here aren’t up to date. 5 wrong guesses doesn’t always bring up the erase drive option. Could updated instructions be provided?
