Please, I would have to answer some questions:
the WD TV HD supports 4TB?
the old WD TV LIVE HD Supports 4TB?
Hi there, i have not tried this but since this models are legacy product i doubt it would work with a large capacity drive, lets see if another user can share some tips and information on this matter to help you out. Just to clarify can you specify the model numbers of the devices? Although if it is the newest model you should be able to use a 4 tb drive on the unit.
The model is My Book 4TB WDBFJK0040HBK
ArMak was refering to the model of WDTV , not the model of harddrive
p.s. 4TB HDD works fine on my WDTV Model: WDBYMN0000NBK (Latest 2014 Model) Firmware: 1.02.17
But to answer the OP
1) the WD TV HD supports 4TB?
If you mean the Gen1 (the original Black model) … then no (2TB Limit)
2) the old WD TV LIVE HD Supports 4TB?
unsure, but the link below says 2TB or greater, but you have to be running specific firmware or greater
I would to buy this old model on ebay
http://www.ebay.it/itm/Lettore-Multimediale-WD-TV-HD-/121636143335?
You think it is possible that by updating firmware can support 4TB HD?
And another question the list of audio, video formats has changed between the old and the new model? The new model play some new format, such as?
I did a search,

I saw that the old model the FLV files were not supported and the new firmware seems that the page has not been updated this possibility can confirm it to me if I understand you correctly?

geez that’s the 2008 Model (Black Gen1 as i said) … super old … discontinued … no longer supported for a LONG time
No way, will it support 4TB HD 59 EUR is a complete Ripoff for a *dead / discontinued product*
i would not recommend buying it … no DTS to 2.0 Stereo , Poor MKV Reference Frame Support, No Streaming capabilities, Slow UI …etc
New models play FLV ( H.264 Codec ) just fine … (but you have to check what codec your FLV’s are)
P.S. FLV is super old and outdated too
Thanks. You’re fine. I’ve understand, it is a bad affair, OK!!!
I’ve FLV
codec video
FLV1, H264 MPEG-4 AVC, , H264 MPEG-4 AVC (avc1)
codec audio
MPEG AAC (mp4a), MPEG Audio layer 3 (mpga), MPEG Audio layer 1/2 (mpga)
Other codec non FLV I’ve
Video WMA2
audio WMV1
New model play them?

WMA2 is an Audio Codec, not a Video Codec and WMV1 is a Video Codec not an Audio Codec
The user manual doesent list WMV1 … only WMV3
I thought WMV1 was supported ? i definately know WMV2 is Not supported
