WD TV Live HD Media Player do not play second audio track mkv

Hi! I’m a owner of WD TV HD Media Player (Part#: WDAAN0000NBK) with the last firmware, 1.06.43_V, I have one movie (MKV container) with one audio and some subtitles. Spanish Subtitle is not inside of MKV. I download the subtitle and rename with the same name that MKV file and works.
My doughter do nos understand English and can not read because she do not know, have 3 years old. I download Spanish audio for that movie. AC3 file. When the file have the same name that MKV file in my PC VLC and Media Player Classic Home Cinema I can select that alternative Audio, but In WD TV HD Media Player I can not select other audio that come inside of MKV.
How I can see the movie and select the other Audio for that movie? Is not possible?

Thanks!

Guido

if the AC3 file is a separate file then you will need to “mux” it into the MKV container eg. using MKVMerge (installed with MKVToolNix)

it’s very easy to do, and will take about 1 Minute

Thanks! If not possible is in diferents files, with the same name? Because other software can merge on the fly with out to handle the mvk

i’ve never tried it … but you have, and looks like you discovered it won’t work

“Other” software ? you mean VLC and Media Player Classic Home Cinema ?
Well, that’s PC Software … which can play / do almost anything, compared to a WDTV (Hardware Players)
