WD software vs Windows 7 backup

I have a new  1 TB My Passport SE.  I’ve done an initial backup, but apparent;y, the software does not backup up my data drive at the same time as the main drive, so I had to do it manualy with an extra commmand.  Is there a way to program so that both dirves are done one after the other?  If not, if I want to switch to Windows backup, do I have a start all over, and or disable or delete the WD sotware?

I only used the Smartware once and uninstalled. It does a selective backup so make sure it backed up all of the files you want. I’ve never used Windows backup. I use Acronis TI to image my system partition and GoodSync to backup my data to other drives.

Thank you.  Now if I delete the WD software, will the next program be able to build its backups on top of the WD backup?

No the new software would create it’s own files.

Thanks, not to be dense, but des that mean I shlud delete both the software and the back u[ files it created?

I would delete both. The backup file will be useless without the Smartware installed. Also then you will be starting out clean and know what you have backed up. Remember a backup means 2 copies in different places.
