WD Smartware Pro does not accept credentials

Hello,

I have seen a few posts on this topic but none of them provided a clear solution.

I Have a WD My cloud EX2 4tb. I can see it on my network and can login to set it up users and use all the functionality through the web browser. The other WD apps like Quickview and Sync also work fine.

When i try and use Smartware Pro to back up my PC to the cloud storage it asks me for the login credentials when i select a private share. it does not matter what credentials i put in nothing seems to work. pictures below for reference
