hello, i bought my 4tb mycloud couple days ago. i have 7 computers which i need to backup idividually. i tried to do that with the wd smartware software. the problem is that i have only 4 activations for this software (its pro). i tried to purchase the premium licnese which is able to backup up to 10 computers to no avail. i contacted my support service and they told me the premuim is no longer availabe. is it true? in this case mycloud really dosent answer my needs. thanks in advance. (sorry for gramer and spelling im not an english speaker)
The My Cloud is a network attached storage device.One is not required to use WD Smartware to backup their computer to the My Cloud. There are a number of FREE third party programs that will backup a local computer to a local My Cloud. Here are a few free programs that will backup a local computer to a local My Cloud or similar NAS device.
