WD Portable Harddrive (My Passport) won't backup

I have installed the backup software with a backup plan. However, it has yet to actually backup anything, and when I click “Backup Now”, nothing happens.
Help please.
(Btw, I have already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it)

Try uninstalling the software and install the newest version.

We did that and did NOT help!!!
