WD Passport wont work in my new laptop Code 10 Please Help

I have recently got a new laptop and I have tried plugging in my old WD passport into it and it will not open at all.
It is visible in device manager with a small yellow triangle exclaimation mark beside it saying it has failed to start -Code 10.
When plugged into my old laptop it is visible and I can access all my files as normal. I have tried my passport ultra in my new laptop and it is working no problems.

Can anyone help me out with this problem as it is driving me mad as id like to keep my old passport as a storage device for all my old university coursework and pictures from my old phones as I have been doing with my old laptop.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Basically, this error arises when Device Manager can’t load external disk, required device drivers failed to start, outdated/corrupted or missing drivers are present. You can try to reinstall the USB controllers and check the status. Below mentioned steps will help to reinstall the USB controllers.

  1. Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.

  2. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right click a device and click Uninstall.

  3. Restart your computer. The USB controllers will automatically install.
