My Passport ultra is not being detected by my laptop. It is previously used on a desktop with XP OS and started troubling when it was connected to another PC with Windows 7 OS. Hoping it would open on any other PC, kept it aside and bought a new seagate. Now I tried it again with a laptop with Windows 10 but could not opened it. USB icon appears on taskbar, tested properties on My passport icon at printers and devices menu and found the driver is working properly. LED on My passport is continuously glowing so that the disk is booting. Some motor running sound along with tick tick sound is heard from the disk. tried change of the cables as well. could anybody help me please?

This is a recent common problem. Possibly due to Windows 10 updates. Check your updates and Internet.
