my windows 10 is not accepting my external hd WD my passport , it connects , but Windows does not recognize it and saw where many users are having the same problem , I wonder if it is a problem with Windows or with the product you?

Try to check on device manager to see if the unit is present there, or disk management as well, you can also try on a different computer.

I have similar problem computer Windows 10, location not available, access denied, have changed cables check disk management all states WD is operating correctly but will not open.
