I have a WD Passport 4TB drive (WDBPKJ0040BBK-WESN) that I’ve used for years. Recently it has been giving me problems. When I connect the Passport to my Win10Pro PC, I hear some beeps from the drive (so it is alive). Sometimes I will get the dialog about providing the password, but usually not. And even in the rare times when I get the “password accepted” message, I cannot see any files/folders. Device Manager sees it, so does Computer Management, but WD Security and WD Drive Utilities report “Application not found” – screenshots attached. Does any one have any suggestions?
