WD MyCloud Mirror and Samsung Smart TV

Hi,

I have just bought a WD MyCloud Mirror device and I am having some problems when connecting to my Samsung Smart TV. When I try to access from the tv (selecting Video), there are only 2 options for connecting to the cloud: one for Dropbox and another one called allone (or something like that). Both of them open a browser to create a link and I do not understand what should I do.I tried with http://wdmycloudmirror.local:9000 but “no page found” message was shown.

Someone can help me?

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards

Welcome to the Community.

Even though the device is named “My Cloud”, data access to a NAS from a Smart TV is handled locally. Try to use the DLNA Media Server or browse for network shares instead.

Thank you Trancer!

But I have one more question. The DLNA option is activated in the NAS, so it should be visible, shouldn’t it? If using a browser, how could I do the link with the NAS?

Thanks one more time!

Every Smart TV is different. Most of them will have a dedicated DLNA option, which should list Twonky and other Media Servers in your home network without the need of a web browser.

I think the problem is related to Twonky. Nothing is shown when trying to access to it. Any way to prove or restore it?

Thanks!
