WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra - Error opening file for writing Win10

Hello there,

I have a WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra and I have created a dedicated share to install different programs over the network. I followed different articles for some particular settings trying to make this work:

I set the network to private
I turned off the Public option
I have created a new User and added Read/Write options. I have added that user to my Windows 10.
Also turned ON the SMB feature from Windows Feature.

Once I start to install software on the Directory I created I get an error: Error opening file for writing / Click to try again, or Cancel to Stop the installation.

I’m trying to change the ownership of that directory from Advanced Security Settings and I have the owner of that directory: root (Unix User\root)

When trying to change the owner by adding the WD My Cloud path (Map the Network Drive - added)
I got the following:

An error occurred while applying security information to: Z:
Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied.
Unable to set new owner of “path file (Z:)” - Access is denied.

At this point, I don’t know what to do next or how to fix this issue.

Can anybody help me in finding a solution to be able to install the software files on the Share I created for this? I’m also using Win10 since I read it that could be an issue.

Thanks!
