Permissions problem?

Ive got a mycloud EX4100 that I set up for an attorney, with 2 people having access to it. 

A share called legal was created, that both users have full access to, but recently one of the users doesn’t have access to everything. A lot of the folders have an ‘X’ on them & if you put the cursor over these, it will show as empty. If I try to open it, a box will pop up saying ‘z:<folderpath> is not accessible. The file is currently not available for use on this computer’. I can go to the other users computer & it displays fine, can access the files in it & all works as expected. 

Originally, this share was listed as public, but I turned that off & gave both users full read write access to it, but nothing changed.

What could be causing this?

Have you tried resetting the drive? If not, please try that.

Is the unit configure with a static ip or by DHCP?
