Hi,
I’d like to buy the WD Live TV (WDBGXT0000NBK) but first I need to know if my external HDD is compatible and works properly with my devices.
I have already tried to verify the compatibility at the following address: http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3805/session/L3RpbWUvMTMxNjAwNTI5Mi9zaWQvcE4xSUMzRWs…
but I could not find my HDD in the list.
So I wanted to ask you if someone, from personal experience, can assure compatibility … Below are the details:
Lettore: WD Live TV (WDBGXT0000NBK) → http://www.wdc.com/global/products/specs/?driveID=970&language=12
HDD: WD Elements 1 TB (WDBPCK0010BBK) → http://www.wdc.com/global/products/specs/?driveID=950&language=12
Thank you very much in advance for your support
haven’t got model numbers of the drives … but, i own
2x Western Digital Elements (1TB Powered Drive) about 3 years old
1x Western Digital Elements (1TB Powered Drive) about 2 years old
2x Western Digital Elements SE USB2.0 (1TB Pocket Drives) about 1-2 years old
1x Western Digital Elements SE USB3.0 (1TB Pocket Drive) about 4 Months old
have tested on my WDTV HD Media Player (Gen1) - WDTV Live (Gen1) - WDTV Live Hub - Panasonic TV with USB
All Drives Work fine … No “Compatibility” issues
Same results with other Brands i own … Samsung, Buffalo, Hitachi, Seagate etc
ok, thanks! so, no problem with usb-self-powering?
correct, Andrea85… no compatibility problems with self powered pocket drives on all the WD media players i own.
(all the WD drives work fine, as do all the other brands)
ok thank you very much! So I am going to buy it…
