WD TV Live HD and WD Elements 2 TB not compatible?

When I plug the HD in to the WDTV it doesen’t recoginize it.

Hard disk works normal on my computer so does other USB disks in WD TV. I’m pretty much stuck with no idea what to do. Any advice would be much appreciated.

WD TV Live HD Media Player (WDBAAP0000NBK) -firmware 1.05.04_V
External hard disk: WD Elements 2 TB, 7200 rpm, 16 MB, USB (WDBAAU0020HBK)

Might this work for other external brands that are not visible when attaching to the live hub?

Possibly, but not likely.   It’s a WD specific issue that’s addressed when reformatting as instructed.
