WD ex2 ultra

Guys got a WD ex2 ultra. Had virgin installed Tuesday so new router. But yesterday my cloud app now shows my connection as direct. So when I’m on the app it won’t let me go to the admin lig in page for the dashboard. I cannot get it back to local connection at all. Any ideas why this is the case???

If you haven’t done so already, you may want to see the dedicated OS5 EX Series subforum (assuming your EX2 Ultra is running OS5 v5.x firmware) where users more familiar with that device may be able to assist. And where one can use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, to search for similar past discussions.

Quite often one can fix My Cloud Remote Access/Cloud Access issues by simply disabling Remote Access/Cloud Access in the My Cloud Dashboard. Wait a few minutes. Then reenable Remote Access/Cloud Access.

Normally one would access the My Cloud Dashboard from their local network using a web browser. Note: Exposing the My Cloud Dashboard (for what ever reason) to the Public Internet is an invitation to having the My Cloud maliciously hacked/accessed. If one wants to take that risk they can enable remote Dashboard access.

Some have experienced long indexing on their My Cloud units which can impact access to their My Cloud. This includes local and remote access as well as the My Cloud Dashboard not loading (properly).
