WD Caviar Green 2TB VERY slow after 1GB transferred

Hi!

I have bought a 2TB Green HDD, put it in my computer and tried to copy some data. After about 1GB copied, the speed started decreasing all the way down to 200kB/s. Windows performance monitor shows 0% idle time. If I abort the transfer, after a few minutes the idle time comes back to 100%. Then if I try again, the whole procedure repeats.

I have multiple HDDs in my copter, including another 2TB Green (older), working just fine.

Does anyone have any solution for this problem?

I could suggest you to run the Western Digital DLG tool, is available for download at the WD website.
