Vanished Files on My Passport

Hey everyone,

I plugged in my 500gb My Passport yesterday and despite have 450gb filled up, only 10gb worth of recent files show up.

I’ve tried restoring the data (thinking that somehow I accidentally deleted everything), but this only brought back ancient files that had actually been deleted, not the missing files. I also had my computer show Hidden Files to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions about where those files are vacationing? I’d really like to bring them home.

Did you try enabling the option to show protected system files and folders? This is a second layer of security beyond hidden files and folders.
