So it seems they STILL have not implemented scheduled backups as far as I can tell. My issue now is that when I try to use the app to setup a new backup, it won’t see the USB drive even though the NAS clearly sees it. Anyone else?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
You could refer to the following link: My Cloud OS 5: USB Backups
for me i can finish backup only if my western digital passport is ext4 format exfat> backup fail too, the same in ntfs…fat32, i don’t know because i have some files less 4gb…
…
If your USB Drive is set to Private, please ensure the ‘admin’ user READ/WRITE access.
If it still does not show up, try setting the USB drive to Public and post the results.
Thanks for the ideas. The admin account did not have rights so I granted them but it still did not work. I then made the drive Public as suggested and now it shows up in the backup tool. Any other ideas? Would rather not leave it public. Thanks, Chris
@chriss9 The issue with USB Backup being a private share will be fixed in a future firmware release coming very soon. Unfortunately , I cannot provide an ETA.
Not worried at this point. The indexing issue is so bad that I am probably throwing this thing in the trash and buying a better device anyway. Thanks though!
