I’m getting the following message (or similar messages) at the bottom of most pages on the WD Sharespace management web interface:
Warning: Unknown(): write wrote less bytes than requested in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0
I can not access any data in any shares on the device. All data that was on there appears inaccesssible.
I’ve tried the following:
Resetting the device with the reset button.
Resetting the device to Factory Settings via the user interface.
Resetting, and also changing the disk format (from SPAN to STRIPE)
Swapping the disk drives around (and factory resetting again)
Accessing the device from Chrome and IE
Even when I first got it, and it was working (for about a week) I found it to be surprisingly slow to transfer any data, given it was on a wired, GB network - only about 3MB/s write speed, via a mapped drive. It’s using a fixed IP address.
It’s a 2TB machine (2x1TB drives) .
Any ideas?
