Unable to access device using remote computer or wd app

I have been having problems accessing my cloud via wd mycloud app or using a remote computer ever since I got this storage device. Remote access is on and port forwarding is connected and port forwarding is enabled on my router. It only works for 5 days with no problems. The next day, nothing works. I can only access when on my local network. I log onto my dashboard looking at the settings and nothing has changed and everything is like it was the day is set it up 3 months ago. After looking in the settings,  I access my cloud using the wd my app and everything now works. In 5 to 6 days I have to do it all over again. Any suggestions would help!
