Turning on Remote Access

Good Day All, 

Just purchased a MyCloud Device and working on the problems one at a time.  I have access to MyCloud device when my iphones are connected to my home network.  However, away from home, I cant access the MyCloud Device.  I went to the Dashboard and tried to turn on the remote access but the web software will not allow me to turn it on.  I thought I took care of this a day or two ago, because I typed the code the dashboard gave me.  I turned off my wifi on my phones and was apply to access the MyCloud device via the iphone app.  today I tried it again, away from home and it told me the mycloud device was offline and inaccessable, only local files are available.  I am using the 4.0 version firmware.  Can anyone give me advise or suggestion(s).  Your help is greatly appreciated.  

Hi, if you accessed the My Cloud from your local network you don’t need to create the code for remote access. What happens when you try to enable remote access from the My Cloud dashboard? 

I have the same issue, but my Remote Access is grayed out. I cannot even select the switch to turn it on.
